Vincent Zeppieri Sr. opened the shop's doors in 1964, back when the sign out front still read One Hour Martinizing. His son Vincent Jr. grew up in the back of the store and now runs it the same way his father did: measure twice, press once, and know the customer's name.
That kind of continuity is rare on Tremont Avenue. The shop has stayed in the same family, in the same storefront, through six decades of Throggs Neck.
