Tere spent twenty-five years baking professionally in restaurant kitchens around Boston and New York City before opening Cakes & Scones in Greentown in 2004. She and Andy have run the counter together ever since, turning out scones, danish, eclairs, tiramisu, and Portuguese custards using only butter, fresh ingredients, and Belgian chocolate.
The bakery has become a regular stop for the Lake Wallenpaupack and Greentown crowd, with a small team hand-finishing everything from a Tuesday morning muffin order to a full wedding cake, made from scratch, in house, the same way it has been since day one.
