From dry cleaner to found-treasure shop
Gina Mussett spent years in corporate retail management with Express, Limited Express, The Bombay Company, and Pier 1 before she closed on a vacant storefront on Meadville Street the same day she sold her home. What had been a dry cleaner's cement block building became The Cottage Rose, with a restored tin ceiling and exposed brick giving the space its warmth.
Edinboro is both a university town and a lake vacation stop, so the shop is stocked for all three: students furnishing a first apartment, visitors looking for a gift to take home, and neighbors who stop in every week to see what is new.
