Sixteen years on Harford Street
Shaun has been tattooing since 1999 and opened Golden Hammer in Milford in 2009. What started as a tattoo studio grew a second life as a gathering point for the town's antiques, jewelry, and things nobody else knew what to do with.
Golden Hammer is a working tattoo and piercing studio first: custom pieces, cover-ups, fine line, black and grey, and color, built around a conversation rather than a flash wall. Five artists and two piercers cover most styles a client walks in asking for, and every session starts with a sit-down design consult, not a rush job off a printed sheet.
Past the front counter, the shop doubles as a curated stop for local antiques, estate jewelry, candles, and the kind of odd, well-made objects that Milford's older buildings tend to turn up. Regulars come in for a piece of jewelry and leave having booked a tattoo, or the other way around.

Custom & Traditional
Original design work, American traditional, and cover-up rebuilds, planned out with the artist before the machine ever comes out.
Fine Line & Color
Fine line portraiture, botanical work, and full color pieces, handled by the artist on staff whose portfolio fits what you're after.
Piercing
Ear, facial, and body piercing with implant-grade jewelry, done by Pia or Jess. Consult first for anything more involved than a lobe.
Curiosities & Antiques
Estate jewelry, small antiques, candles, and rotating oddities in the front room. New pieces come in most weeks, worth a repeat visit.
The front room
Not a gift-shop afterthought. Half the building is a working curiosity shop.
Between clients, Shaun and the artists keep the front room stocked with finds from estate sales and swaps around Pike County. It changes shop to shop, week to week, which is the point.

18 and older only, valid ID required for every tattoo and piercing.
Walk-ins welcome as schedule allows. Larger custom pieces booked by consult.
