Forty-five years of altering, mending, and building garments to fit
L & L Tailors has worked out of the same storefront near Pleasant Plains since 1980. It is a small operation on purpose: a mother and daughter, a few well-worn machines, and enough pins to fit half of Staten Island for a wedding on short notice.
Customers come in with a suit that needs a new life, a gown that needs to fit by Saturday, or a coat that just needs its lining fixed instead of replacing. We measure twice, we tell you honestly what a garment needs, and we do the work ourselves.
